I did not have any strategy - Nina reveals how she entered the Big Brother Naija house
As another edition of Big Brother Naija is set to hold after the February elections, one of the major discussions for aspirants is the key to getting into the game.
Some former housemates have been dishing out advise to hopefuls and just recently, Nina might have shared a hint on how to get in the house by sharing how she managed to be selected out of thousands of applicants from several corners of Nigeria.
Speaking with Sunnews, the ivory beautypreneur shared interesting details about her passion for acting, how she aced the Big Brother auditions and progressed to the house. She also talked about her relationship with Miracle and revealed that she has no regrets and instead is grateful for all that she learned in the BBNaija Double Wahala house.
Talking about how she came to know about the reality TV game show, she said: "The passion to be part of Big Brother started after I watched a previous edition. I was so moved I decided I wanted to go for the show, and then, a friend sent me the audition flyer. I was so excited and I just wanted to do it. First, I went to church and committed my dream into the hands of God. In fact, I went to Shiloh, which ended on a Saturday, the day I was supposed to audition. But then, I did my auditioning on Sunday and passed. That was the first audition and the crowd was massive! I made it through the first audition in Port Harcourt and the second audition in Lagos, and then there were more auditions and I just kept going until I landed in the House."
The BBNaija Double Wahala edition had thousands of applicants from different states in Nigeria trying to get in the house but only 20 made the cut. One of those was Nina and a lot of people are curious as to how the reserved young lady got in the house.
When asked how she got the attention of the oragniser and managed to secure a spot in the house, she said: "It was because I didn’t go there with any strategy. I went there being Nina. During the audition, they saw that I was real. I later asked one of the organisers and he said that the reason why they chose me was because I was real. You see, I was open and honest on every question they asked me. They saw the honesty in my answers. I believe that’s the major reason they chose me. Back in the House too, they asked me if I had a strategy and I said ‘no, I have none’. Truth is, I didn’t even know what my life was, so I wanted to go in there and watch my life. I went there as a plain girl that anybody could read and understand."

Speaking on her relationship with Miracle, who won the game she said: "Miracle and I met before we moved into the House. So, we were already friends. It’s just normal, mutual friendship. We met at the audition and got into the house, and before we knew it, nature ran its course. I’m not regretting anything because I found out he was true to me. It wasn’t his strategy."
Nina also advised aspirants hoping to get into the Big Brother house. She said: "Go for auditions and pray hard. If it’s you, it’s you. If it’s not you, it’s not you. If they pick you, just go there and live your life. People may not like you if you live someone else’s life, but people will just love you more if you’re true to your real self."
Meanwhile, Nina is gradually advancing her career in acting. Recently, the fast-rising actress shared photos from a movie shoot where she seemed to be enjoying her time playing make believe.

Putin receives five-star welcome in Serbia

President Vladimir Putin

NEWS

Ceremonial canons fired and church bells pealed in Belgrade on Thursday as President Vladimir Putin arrived to a rousing welcome in Serbia, a key Moscow ally, where he will confer Russia’s top award to his counterpart.
Tens of thousands of Serbs marched through the capital in a parade in Putin’s honour.
“Welcome honoured President Putin, dear friend,” read one of many billboards around the city bearing a mix of Russian and Serbian flags.
“I’m delighted to be able to visit friendly, brotherly Serbia,” Putin said after being welcomed at Belgrade airport by his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic.
The parade, whose participants come from across Serbia, will culminate at the massive Saint Sava church, one of Orthodox Christianity’s largest houses of worship.
In recent days vendors have been selling T-shirts, mugs and books bearing Putin’s face, while a central Belgrade fountain has been lit up with the red, white and blue colours of the Russian flag.
Although Serbia aspires to join the European Union, it has kept up close ties with Russia, its historical “Orthodox big brother” whose people also share Slavic origins.

But it “is more emotional than a rational relationship”, explained Serbian economic analyst Biljana Stepanovic.
According to a 2017 Serbian government survey, a quarter of the population believe Russia and the EU are the country’s joint top donors for development aid.
In reality, 75 per cent of donations come from the EU or its member states, while Russia doesn’t make the top nine.
The West also outpaces Russia in terms of direct investment and trade.
– ‘Serbia’s salvation’ –
However, the affection for Moscow is fanned by its unyielding support on the emotive issue of Kosovo, a former Serbian province that broke away in a 1998-99 guerilla war.
Serbia has never accepted the split and Russia similarly rejects it, wielding its veto power at the United Nations to thwart Kosovo’s dreams of joining.
In return, Belgrade has refused to join international trade sanctions imposed on Russia over its 2014 annexation of Crimea.
Graffiti saying “Kosovo is Serbia, Crimea is Russia” can sometimes be spotted on Serbian streets.
Putin is “Serbia’s salvation,” said retired general Mitar Petkic, who had camped for hours in front of the Saint Sava church to welcome the Russian leader.
“The EU is falling apart when we will join it will not exist anymore,” the 66-year-old told AFP.
Jelena Bogicevic held a banner reading “Welcome Putin, the legend”.
“I came to ask him to help us save Kosovo. It is a Serbian land and it should remain Serbian,” the pensioner said.
But the fanfare does not mask what Russia considers recent setbacks in the Balkans, where the West has increased its influence.
Moscow was unable to prevent Montenegro from joining NATO in 2017, a goal which Macedonia is also moving towards after ratifying a name change deal to end a decades-long dispute with Greece.
If Macedonia succeeds, seven countries bordering Serbia — which does not aspire to join — will be in the NATO sphere. Only neighbouring Bosnia will also not be a member, due to the veto of its Serb population.
Before his arrival, Putin accused the West of “destabilising” the Balkans with efforts to expand NATO, an accusation that the United States often lobs in the direction of the Russian president.
– Puppy present –
According to Serbian media reports, Vucic is expected to present Putin with a puppy of the Sarplaninac breed, a shepherd dog from the region.
The Russian leader meanwhile will give Vucic a top state honour.
Maxim Samorukov, an analyst on Russia at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said Putin is visiting Serbia mainly to seek “political prestige” and show that there is a “Russian influence in all parts of the world”.
“The Balkans as such are of little importance” and do not represent “a priority of Russian foreign policy”, he added.
Moscow does, however, have some stake in the region.
Serbia imports two-thirds of its natural gas and crude oil from Russia, while Russian giant Gazprom owns the Serbian oil company NIS.
According to analyst Stepanovic, Russia “has not yet used up” this leverage, “but the potential for influence is there” because Serbia cannot “afford an interruption in deliveries”.

Cardi B feuds with Tomi Lahren over border wall, support for Dems: 'I will dog walk you'

Cardi B and conservative commentator Tomi Lahren are engaged in a Twitter feud after the rapper recorded two videos siding with Democrats on political issues.
The performer, born Belcalis Almánzar, called Lahren "blinded with racism" and a "sheep" to President Trump.
Last week, Lahren tweeted about the performer's political outspokenness, sarcastically calling her "the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats."
"Keep it up, guys! #MAGA2020," Lahren tweeted.

Cardi B appeared on Instagram Live last week to blast Trump over his border wall demands. She later recorded a video expressing solidarity with federal workers who have not been paid during the government shutdown, which began Dec. 22.
The "Money" rapper responded to Lahren's tweet early Sunday morning, warning: "Leave me alone I will dog walk you."

"I'm sure you would," The Fox News commentator fired back. "Still doesn't make your political rambling any less moronic."
Cardi B hit Lahren once more, calling her "blinded with racism."
"You're so blinded with racism that you don't even realize the decisions the president you root for is destroying the country you claim to love so much," she tweeted. "You are a perfect example on no matter how educated or smart you think you are you still a SHEEP!"

Cardi B has slammed Trump a number of times in the past and has also been an advocate of Social Security
